Review
eBay Desktop (formerly eBay) is an application to be used with eBay. The application functions like a web browser for you to use and browse through the many auctions that are available on eBay. There are many advantages in using an application like this, and so are disadvantages. The advantages I can think of right now are that the application is developed by eBay so it is supposed to work great out-of-the-box. Also, they know the layout of the auctions, so images, links, prices, and everything are all really compact and easy to get to. Also, doing without the browser ensures that you are safer when buying there. On the other hand, there are some noticeable drawbacks. First, one has to get used to working inside a restricted application. To open any other websites, you would have to open up a web browser on another window. eBay Desktop tends to act up when the auctions have JavaScript scripts on them. Still, the experience is more enjoyable using this product than not. Trying it will definitely not harm you. |
